Character Based Energy Blast VFX

This effect was created as a personal project, with the added intent to record my work process for the Game Cottage YouTube channel.

The effect itself is built up in several layers, the most complex of which is a particle system that references the animated character mesh and spawns the particles in the shape before exploding out from there, giving the appearance of stored energy bursting out from the player.

Most of the effect is controlled within the single Niagara particle system, with that and some lighting being triggered from within the character BP.
